Vacancy Details

Eligibility for Senior Consultant (Erosion-River-Coastal)

• Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Water Resources Management, Hydrology, Erosion (River/Coastal) Risk Management, Disaster Management, or related disciplines such as Geography, Geology, Environment, Civil/Geo-technical Engineering.
• Desirable Qualification: A research degree (M.Phil./Ph.D.) in disaster management or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in Erosion (River/Coastal) risk management or related subjects. Duration of research work (Ph.D./Post Doctoral) will be counted as experience (actual duration or 5 years, whichever is less).
• Age Limit: Maximum 50 years. For retired Government employees, the maximum age limit is 62 years.
• Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English, high-order skills in operating spreadsheets/databases, and presentation skills are required.

Salary / Stipend

The remuneration for the Senior Consultant post is fixed in the band of Rs. 1,25,000/- to Rs. 1,75,000/- per month. For retired Government employees, the remuneration is regulated as per the Ministry of Finance O.M. No. 3-25/2020-E.III.A dated 09.12.2020. The salary is consolidated and inclusive of all applicable taxes; no other allowances are provided.
