The National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous institute of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites online applications for the recruitment of Scientists on a Direct Recruitment basis through open competition. A total of 10 vacancies are available across Scientist 'D', Scientist 'C', and Scientist 'B' levels in various disciplines. Candidates with Ph.D. or Master's degrees in relevant fields and the prescribed research experience are eligible. Selection Process
- Screening/Shortlisting: All applications will be scrutinized by a Screening-cum-Shortlisting Committee. NIF reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the written test and/or interview by adopting appropriate shortlisting criteria.
- Written Test (if necessary): If considered necessary, a written test may be conducted by NIF either directly or through a Central Government agency or other organization with the requisite expertise.
- Interview: Final selection shall be made on the recommendations of the Selection Committee based on candidates' performance in the interview, academic record, research contributions, and relevant experience.
- Reserve Panel: A reserve panel of candidates shall be prepared and remain valid for one year from the date of approval of the panel, to fill advertised and subsequent vacancies.
- No Correspondence: No correspondence shall be entertained from candidates who are not called for the written test and/or interview or who are not selected.

Key Instructions for Candidates
- Online Application Only: Applications are accepted only through the NIF Recruitment Portal. No other mode will be accepted.
- Single Application: Candidates can apply for only one post. In case of multiple submissions, only one application (determined by the Committee) shall be considered.
- Eligibility Check: Applicants are advised to ensure before applying that they possess essential qualifications & experience for the post.
- Documents Upload: Upload self-attested copies of all documents. Incomplete, illegible, or incorrect documents may result in rejection.

- Experience: Experience gained during a full-time degree will not be counted as professional experience.
- No TA/DA: No TA/DA and accommodation shall be provided for attending the Test/Interview.
