4. Minimum Essential Qualifications:
a) Ph.D. submitted in any branch of Science or Engineering on a topic related to physical oceanography.
b) Ph.D. submitted in any branch of Science or Engineering on a topic related to biogeochemistry or isotope
c) geochemistry/marine chemistry or chemical oceanography.
d) Ph.D. submitted in any branch of Science on a topic related to benthos or corals or seaweeds or mangrove or zooplankton.
e) Ph.D. submitted in any branch of Science or Engineering or Geophysics on a topic related to Geophysics or Marine Geophysics.
f) Ph.D. submitted in any branch of Science or Geology on a topic related to Geology or Marine Geology
g) PhD submitted in any branch of Science or Engineering or Geology or Geophysics on a topic related to modelling of Ocean processes / Hydrological / Solid Earth Process using Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
h) ME / M.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering).
5. Desirable Qualification and Job Specification and Responsibility : Desirable Qualification:
a) Commendable work in air-sea interaction/Atmospheric boundary layer/ Physical oceanography / Near-shore dynamics / Circulation / Monsoon / Numerical modelling of ocean processes/ Computational Fluid Dynamics / Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence. Demonstrated excellence in research through publications in peer-reviewed SCI journals. Job Specification and Responsibility : To undertake scientific research in the relevant field at sea and in laboratory.
b) Commendable work in Taxonomy / Ocean food web dynamics / Mangroves / Seaweeds / Wetlands / Molecular Biology / Marine biology / Ecology. Demonstrated excellence in research through publications in peer-reviewed SCI journals or technology development and patents
c) Commendable work in Marine geophysics and experience in collection, processing and interpretation of Gravity and magnetic data / Single & multichannel seismic data. Multi-beam bathymetry data / proficiency in Fortran or C programming language. Demonstrated excellence in research through publications in peer-reviewed SCI journals
d) Commendable work in Marine geology / Igneous & metamorphic petrology / Geochronology-radiogenic isotope / Geochemistry / Petrology. Demonstrated excellence in research through publications in peer-reviewed SCI journals.
