The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh (NIT Arunachal Pradesh) was inaugurated on 18th August 2010 as a proud member of a group of ten new NITs established across the nation. NIT Arunachal Pradesh began its journey under the mentorship of NIT Durgapur, ensuring a strong academic foundation from its inception.
Leadership and Academic Journey
On 1st November 2011, the institute moved into a new phase of independent operation when its first permanent Director, Prof. (Dr.) Chandan Tilak Bhunia, assumed charge. The institute initially operated from a hired building at Yupia, district Papumpare, serving as its temporary site while construction on the permanent campus progressed.
