Applications are invited on prescribed format (On-line) for the temporary post of "Junior Research Fellow (JRF)” for the Project entitled “Design, Optimisation and Experimental Investigation of High Speed Turbomachinery Rotor Supported on Gas Foil Bearing..” in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela.

1. Name of the temporary post & No: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 (Project Code: SR/21/ME/0057)

2. Name of the Research Project: Design, Optimisation and Experimental Investigation of High Speed Turbomachinery Rotor Supported on Gas Foil Bearing.

3. Name of the sponsoring Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board(SERB)

4. Tenure of the project: 3 year

5. Tenure of the assignment: 3 Years

6. Job description (Give details): Research work of the project includes Design and Development of various gas bearings for high speed rotor. Candidate may register for Ph.D. at NIT Rourkela subject to fulfilling the Institute criteria

7. Consolidated monthly fellowship: INR 31,000/- per month (1st & 2nd Yr.) & INR 35,000/- per month (3rd Yr.)

8. Essential Qualification & Experience: M. Tech ( Machine Design)

9. Desirable Qualification/Experience: Working experience in Matlab, SolidWorks and basic understanding of vibration, bearings and rotordynamics

10. Accommodation: Bachelor accommodation in the Institute may be provided subject to availability.
