Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.E/M.Tech
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following posts to be filled purely on temporary basis under ICMR-NIRT, Chennai.
1. Name of the post: Consultant (Server Administrator)
2. Number of post: 1
3. Place of posting: Chennai
4. Essential Qualification: M.Tech / B.Tech (ECE / CSE / IT) with R&D Experience and published papers.
5. Desirable Qualification & Nature of Duties:
i. Certification : RHCE, VCP, MCSE/ MCITP, CISSP/ CCNA/ CCNP or equivalent.
ii. Should have strong OS administration skills on Windows/Experience in Windows installation, Software and Patch management/Volume Manager Administration Network OS/SW Installation/OS Patching Skills on Windows/Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS related tools/Strong knowledge on Windows operating systems, debug/troubleshoot memory issues.
iii. Should demonstrate good networking knowledge (WAN/ LAN, BGP, VPN, MPLS etc).
6. Emoluments: Salary of Rs.70,000/- p.m.
7. Duration: Initially for a period of Six Months

5. Desirable Qualification & Nature of Duties:
i. Certification : RHCE, VCP, MCSE/ MCITP, CISSP/ CCNA/ CCNP or equivalent.
ii. Should demonstrate good networking knowledge (WAN/LAN, BGP VPN, MPLS etc).Should be able to configure, troubleshoot, and implement routers, switches, firewalls, monitoring, load balancers etc.
iii. Should have strong experience in Windows installation, Software and Patch management/Volume Manager Administration Network OS / SW installation
6. Emoluments: Salary of Rs.70,000/- p.m.
7. Duration: Initially for a period of Six Months

Selection Procedure
Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the interview, the applicants will be short-listed for this purpose. The decision of the Director, NIRT will be final in this regard. Date and time of interview will be communicated to the short-listed candidates by post/email.
