Number of Vacancy: 43 Posts (OBC-24, SC-10, ST-09)
Educational Qualification: Ph.D.
Experience:
Level-10: Nil.
Level-11: One-year post Ph.D. experience of Teaching and Research in an Institution of repute or Industry.
Level-12: Three years after Ph.D. or six years of total teaching and research experience in reputed academic Institutes or Research and Development. Labs or relevant Industry.
Pay Scale:
INR
Pay Level-10 to Pay Level-12
Age Limit: Fresh appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged except in the case of faculty with an exceptionally bri1liant research career and with ongoing or approved externally funded research projects.
Application Fee: Rs.1500/- (No fee for SC/ST/PWD candidates) only for OBC applicants (Male only) to be paid online at SBI payment gateway.

The National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (NIT Jamshedpur), is an Institute of National Importance located at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Established as a Regional Institute of Technology in 1960, it was upgraded to National Institute of Technology (NIT) on 27 December 2002 with the status of a Deemed University. It is one of the 30 NITs in India, and as such is directly under the control of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur was founded as the Regional Institute of Technology in 1960 by Dr. Srikrishna Sinha, the then Chief Minister of the state of Bihar (unpartitioned). The date of 15 August, Independence Day in India, was chosen for the laying of the foundation stone. It now serves as the NIT for the newly carved state of Jharkhand, while NIT Patna serves as the NIT for the state of Bihar.
