Essential Qualification: 12th pass in Science subjects and Two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or related subject or One year DMLT plus one year experience or Two years field/laboratory experience* * B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience 5. Desirable: B.Sc./M.Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology. Work experience in diagnostic laboratory/Cell Culture/ ELISA / PCR / sequencing. Knowledge of computer application/report preparation. 6. Selection Procedure
Applications are invited in the prescribed format attached herewith for the following temporary contract positions for our ad-hoc research projects at ICMR-NIV Bangalore Unit, through Skype/video call interview/personal discussion.

Virus Research Center (VRC) was established in Pune in 1952 under the joint auspices of ICMR and Rockefeller Foundation, as part of the global programme of investigations on the arthropod-borne group of viruses. It was renamed as National Institute of Virology (NIV) in 1978. NIV is also the National Centre for Hepatitis and Influenza. In 1995 it has been redesignated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Arbovirus and Haemorrhagic Fever Reference and Research and Rapid Diagnosis of Viral Diseases.
