Project Research Scientist, Project Technical Support

Educational Qualification:
Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): Post Graduate Degree including the integrated PG degrees in Life Science. Specialization required in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Virology/ Zoology. Desirable Qualification Candidates having Ph.D. will be given preference. Experience in virology field.
Project Technical Support-I (Engineering Support): 10th pass plus Diploma (ITI or equivalent) in electrical plus 2 years’ experience in relevant subject/ Field. OR Minimum Three years Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering plus one year experience in relevant subject. Desirable Qualification Experience in HVAC control field. Knowledge of BMS software. Experience in maintenance of scientific / Lab equipment’s.
Project Technical Support-I: 10th pass plus Diploma (MLT/DMLT or equivalent) plus 2 years experience in relevant subject/ Field. OR Three years graduate degree in Life Sciences. Specialization required in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology plus one year experience in relevant subject Desirable Qualification Experience in Research Laboratory / handling blood samples, Cell Culture, Serology techniques. Knowledge of Computer Application.
Pay Scale:
INR
18000-56000/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years.

Virus Research Center (VRC) was established in Pune in 1952 under the joint auspices of ICMR and Rockefeller Foundation, as part of the global programme of investigations on the arthropod-borne group of viruses. It was renamed as National Institute of Virology (NIV) in 1978. NIV is also the National Centre for Hepatitis and Influenza. In 1995 it has been redesignated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Arbovirus and Haemorrhagic Fever Reference and Research and Rapid Diagnosis of Viral Diseases.
