Educational Qualification:
Technical Assistant: 1st class three year Bachelor's degree in Microbiology / Medical Microbiology / Virology and Immunology/ Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biophysics/ Genetics from a recognized University.
Technician: 1) 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subject with 55% marks and 2) Atleast one year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a govt. recognized institution.
Pay Scale:
INR
19900-112400/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 30 Years.

Virus Research Center (VRC) was established in Pune in 1952 under the joint auspices of ICMR and Rockefeller Foundation, as part of the global programme of investigations on the arthropod-borne group of viruses. It was renamed as National Institute of Virology (NIV) in 1978. NIV is also the National Centre for Hepatitis and Influenza. In 1995 it has been redesignated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Arbovirus and Haemorrhagic Fever Reference and Research and Rapid Diagnosis of Viral Diseases.
