NIA Vacancy 2026: Detailed Post-Wise Breakdown

The National Investigation Agency has announced the following vacancies for deputation. Please note that the number of posts is subject to variation.

Eligibility Criteria for NIA Deputation Posts

Applicants must be officers under the Central Government, State Government, or Union Territories. The eligibility varies by post.

1. Section Officer / Office Superintendent (Level-7)

• Service: Holding analogous posts OR 5 years service in Level-6.

• Service: Holding analogous posts OR 6 years service in Level-5.
• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree + Passed Computer Proficiency Test (SSC Standard).

3. Stenographer Grade-I (Level-6)

• Service: Analogous post OR 6 years in Level-5 OR 10 years in Level-4.
• Qualification: Graduate Degree + Computer Proficiency.
• Skill Test: Shorthand (100 wpm) & Typing/Transcription (Eng: 40 min, Hin: 55 min).

4. Upper Division Clerk - UDC (Level-4)

• Service: Analogous post OR 8 years service in Level-2.
• Qualification: 12th Class Pass from recognized Board.

5. Lower Division Clerk - LDC (Level-2)

• Service: Holding analogous post.
• Qualification: 12th Class Pass from recognized Board.

Note: The maximum age limit for deputation is 56 years as of the closing date. The period of deputation is generally 3 years.

Pay Scale & Special Allowances

Candidates selected for these Central Government Jobs will be paid according to the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix:

• Basic Pay: As per Pay Matrix Level (Level-2 to Level-7).
