Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Option A: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Option B: Masterโs degree in Maths/Computer/Physics/Statistics with specialization in Hydrology OR Post Graduate in Hydrology / Water Resources or equivalent.
2. Experience & Service Requirements
Candidates must be officers under the Central/State Govt., PSUs, or Autonomous Organizations:
- Option (i): Holding an analogous post on a regular basis; OR
- Option (ii): Having 5 years of regular service in Level-11 (Rs. 67700-208700) or equivalent.
3. Age Limit
- Maximum Age: Not exceeding 56 years.
- Age As On: Calculated as of the closing date for receipt of applications (18.02.2026).
4. Special Conditions (Important Notes)
- Departmental Candidates (NWDA): Deputy Director (Hydrology) with 5 years of regular service in the grade will be considered for Promotion.
- Deputationists: Officers currently on deputation are not eligible for consideration by promotion.
- Deputation Period: Shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years.
Job Description
The Director (MDU) will head the Multi-Disciplinary Unit (MDU) and is responsible for:
- Collection and updating of information through web pages and e-governance modules.
- Security auditing of the NWDA website.
- Preparation of content and publication/distribution of the Jal Vikas Quarterly Magazine and Annual Reports.
- Tracking vacancies, tenders, vigilance cases, court cases, and grievances of NWDA.
- Assisting the Chief Engineer (HQ) for all MDU-related works.
