General Eligibility Criteria

• Essential: Candidates must possess the required educational qualification from a recognized University/Board/Institution. Knowledge of Marathi language is essential for most administrative positions. Computer knowledge and typing skills for clerical posts.
• Experience: For technical posts, relevant work experience in government/municipal bodies is desirable. For medical specialist posts, clinical experience in respective specialization is required. Fresh graduates can also apply for positions where experience is not mandatory.

The salary for NMMC posts ranges as per the 7th Pay Commission norms:

• Junior Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical): Rs. 38,600 - 1,22,800 per month
• Assistant Commissioner: Rs. 44,900 - 1,42,400 per month
• Municipal Deputy Secretary: Rs. 41,600 - 1,32,300 per month
• Assistant Law Officer: Rs. 41,600 - 1,32,300 per month
• Biomedical Engineer: Rs. 56,900 - 1,77,500 per month
• Surgeon/Gynecologist/Medical Specialists: Rs. 56,900 - 1,77,500 per month
• Additional allowances like DA, HRA, TA and other benefits as per NMMC rules.
