The Department of Neurology ,NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, invites application for the following post, purely on contractual basis, under the project entitled DementiaScienceProgramme:Incidence/Prevalence/Risk/lnterventionanalysisofdementiaandbasicrese archthereof' underthefundingofDBT,incollaborationwiththelNCLENTrustlnternational,NewDelhi.

3, Essentialqualification: MSW/Mastersin Sociology/Masters in Anthropology/Populationsciences/MPH/Masters in healthsciences
a) Proficiency In Khasi and English
b) Readiness to reside in Mawphlang
4. Desirable skills:
a) 1 -2 years field experience and handling of field workers for data collection
b) Handling of paperless data collection(electronic data)
c) Higher academic training
d) Experience infield implementaion of projects and involvement in primary community based data collection activities
e) Training/experienceinatopicrelevanttoDementiaorElderly
5. Job description.
a) The incumbent will be expected to perform the following tasks Implementation of field data collection
b) Ready to travel extensively in field area
6.Consolidated amount(fixed):Rs.25,000 per month
7. Duration: 4 months on purely temporary basis .However may be extended based on performance of staff, and continuation of project

The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute Of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) stands as a premier super-specialty teaching and referral institute equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Established in 1987 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, it holds the distinction of being the first central government health institution in the North East. As an autonomous body registered under the Meghalaya Societies Act 1983, NEIGRIHMS plays a pivotal role in medical advancement and public welfare.
Institute of National Importance & Excellence
Recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Hon'ble Prime Minister in 2000, NEIGRIHMS is also a unique 'Centre of Excellence' for medical education and human health resource development, a status conferred by Parliament in 2007. Located on a sprawling 273-acre lush green campus in Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, the institute operates a tertiary care hospital and offers graduate, postgraduate, and post-doctoral courses affiliated with the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU).
