Applications are invited for the following post for recruitment on purely temporary and contractual basis under the NCG funded project titled "Risk factors for Esophageal Cancers in Northeast India: A Case-control study": This study entails collection of details from esophageal cancer patients being treated at Civil Hospital Shillong, NEIGRIHMS ond also field data collection from adjacent areas in and around Shillong. 1. Post Name : Project Staff(Field Worker) 2. No of Post: 03 3. Qualifications & Experience : Essential Qualification: Postgraduate Qualification in Nursing/Public Health/ Social Work/Nutrition from a recognized University. B.Sc. Nursing with Research Experience will be considered. Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (MS Word, MS Excel etc.) 4. Desirable Qualifications: Candidate with research experience will be preferred.

1. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated (through the NEIGRIHMS website).
2. All the posts are purely temporary, on a contractual basis. The appointment will be initially for a period of 6 months which may be renewed depending on performance of the candidate and extension of the project from the funding agency.
3. Shortlisted candidates must bring along all relevant documents related to their qualifications & experience in original and submit one set of photocopied and attested copies of the same and one passport size recent photograph. The Candidates not producing the Original Certificates at the time of interview will not be considered.
4. The candidates must be able to read and write local language (Khasi) as the project will be carried out in the rural areas of Khasi Hills. Candidates must be willing to travel to the field to carry out the study.

The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute Of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) stands as a premier super-specialty teaching and referral institute equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Established in 1987 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, it holds the distinction of being the first central government health institution in the North East. As an autonomous body registered under the Meghalaya Societies Act 1983, NEIGRIHMS plays a pivotal role in medical advancement and public welfare.
