Educational Qualification:
i. Postgraduate degree or diploma in respective subject recognized by MCI after obtaining a medical qualification included in the Schedule-I & II of the 3rd Schedule of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the 3rd schedule should also fulfill conditions specified in section 13 (B) of the Act).
ii. Satisfactory completion of the compulsory internship/horsemanship in a recognized hospital.
iii. Candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/Medical Council of India.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected based on a written test/personal interview/medical test/walkin interview. Once a candidate is selected they will be placed as Senior Resident Doctors in NEIGRIHMS.

How to Apply:

Eligible candidates are requested to present themselves for registration at 09:30 a.m to 10:45 a.m on 14th , 15th , 16th & 17th February 2023 for the posts of SRDs in the Conference Hall, NEIGRIHMS Guest House, Permanent Campus, Mawdiangdiang. They will have to fill in their particulars in the prescribed application format and enclosed the following relevant documents duly attested:-
i. One recent passport size photo
ii. Certificate of Date of Birth (10th certificate)
iii. Certificate of SC/ST/Latest OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate from the competent authority
if applicable.
iv. MBBS passed Certificate
v. MBBS Marksheets
vi. MBBS Attempt certificate
vii. MBBS Internship Completion Certificate
viii. MD/MS/DNB/Diploma passed certificate
ix. Medical Registration Certificate for MBBS/MD/MS/DNB/Diploma
x. NOC from the present employer (if employed)
xi. Experience Certificate (if applicable)
xii. Residence Certificate issued by a competent authority or Aadhar card or voter ID and Passport
xiii. Character Certificate.

A Super-specialty Teaching and Referral Institute with State-of-the-Art-Technology. Registered as an Autonomous Institute under Meghalaya Societies Act 1983.
A Post Graduate Tertiary Care Medical Institute under the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare - The First in North East established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, in 1987.
An Institute of National Importance -Declared by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India on January 22, 2000.
Center of Excellence for Medical Education and Human Health Resource Development- Only medical institute of the country to be declared 'Centre of Excellence' on January 3, 2007, by Parliament.
The Hospital started in the Interim Hospital Facility (IHF) in Polo on 20th August 1998 with OPD Services and was shifted to the Permanent Campus in Mawdiangdiang in the year 2007.
Permanent Campus at Mawdiangdiang, Shillong is spread over a lush green area measuring about 273 Acres.
Presently it offers several professional courses at Graduate, Postgraduate & Post Doctoral levels that are affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), a Central University. The Institute has a Medical College and also a Nursing College running undergraduate courses recognised by Medical Council of India and Indian Nursing Council.
Awaiting Autonomous status as "Deemed University" by an Act of Parliament.
