Number of Vacancy: 17 Posts
Educational Qualification:
Ayurvedic Physician: BAMS with at least 5 years in Research or Clinical Or MD in Ayurveda with 2 years of clinical/research experience Desirable: Experience in the field of Intellectual developmental disabilities or Neuro developmental disabilities.
Homeopathic Physician: BHMS with at least 5 years in Research or Clinical Or MD in Homeopathy with 2 years of clinical/research experience Desirable: Experience in the field of Intellectual developmental disabilities or Neuro developmental disabilities.
Unani Physician: BUMS with at least 5 years in Research or Clinical Or MD in Unani with 2 years of clinical /research experience Desirable: Experience in the field of Intellectual developmental disabilities or Neuro developmental disabilities.
Yoga & Naturopathy Therapist: BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) with 5 years of clinical/research experience Or MD in Naturopathy and Yoga with 2 years experience in Clinical/Research Desirable: Experience in the field of Intellectual developmental disabilities or Neuro /developmental disabilities.
Siddha Practitioner: BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery) with atleast 5 years of clinical/research experience Or MD in Siddha with 2 years experience in Clinical/Research Desirable: Experience in the field of Intellectual developmental disabilities or Neuro developmental disabilities.
Pharmacist (AYUSH): Diploma in AYUSH Pharmacy or B.Pharm. (Ayurveda/ Homeopathy/ Unani).
Panchakarma Technician: Certificate/Diploma in Panchakarma Therapy.
Technician and Therapist: Certificate Courses from recognized institutes in the field of Ayurvedic/ Homeopathic/ Unani/ Yoga & Naturopathy/ Siddha.
Assistant Research Officer: Master’s in Psychology/Social Work/Special Education/ AYUSH Therapist/MPhil in Clinical Psychology/Rehabilitation Psychology/Master in Special Education/PGDEI.
Pay Scale:
INR
35000-60000/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 56 Years.

The filled in applications, in the prescribed format, along with the self-attested copies of certificates in support of educational qualifications, experience, disability etc., should reach the Director, NIEPID, Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad - 500009 by 07.11.2025. Applications received late/incomplete or not in prescribed format and not mentioning the post applied along with Sl. No. will not be considered. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Formerly National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped) established in the year 1984 at Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad (TS) is an Autonomous Body under the administrative control of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. NIEPID (Formerly NIMH) is dedicated to providing quality services to Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan) in the National interest.
NIEPID(Formerly NIMH) has three regional centers located at Noida/ New Delhi, Kolkata, & Mumbai, and NIEPID (Formerly NIMH) Model Special Education Center is located at Noida/New Delhi. The institute endeavors to excel in building capacities to empower Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan). Since the quality of life of every person with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan) is equal to other citizens in the country, in that they live independently to the maximum extent possible and through constant professional endeavors, the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Formerly National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped) empowers the Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan) to access the state of the art rehabilitation intervention viz., educational, therapeutic, vocational, employment, leisure and social activities, sports, cultural programs, and full participation.
