Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive basic pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) at 35% of basic pay where corporation accommodation is unavailable, Site Allowance (LBA) at 10% of basic pay + DA, EPF contribution, and NEEDCSS (NEEPCO Defined Contribution Superannuation Pension Scheme) contribution at 9% of basic pay + DA. Additional benefits include Performance Related Pay (PRP), gratuity, medical benefits for self and dependents, leave, uniform allowance, communication expenses, and furniture reimbursement as per company rules. Upon successful completion of the 1-year training period, trainees are placed in E-3 Grade.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Educational Qualification

• Option 1: Full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety with a minimum of 65% marks (55% for SC candidates) and a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Production) from a recognized institute.
• Option 2: Degree in Engineering (Industrial Safety / Fire and Safety) with a minimum of 65% marks (55% for SC candidates) from a recognized institute.

Desirable Experience

• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in statutory safety compliance, safety system development or auditing, safety culture promotion, and safety inspection of machinery and buildings under the Factories Act.
• Experience in safety training and firefighting is considered an added advantage.

• OBC (NCL): 33 Years
• Age Relaxation: Admissible as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/ESM/PwBD categories. Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir (born between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989) are also eligible for relaxation as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process involves three sequential stages:

1. Scrutiny of Online Applications: Shortlisting is based on marks obtained in the engineering degree and the industrial safety diploma/degree, along with relevant post-qualification experience.
2. Computer Based Test (CBT):
   • Section 1 – Professional Knowledge Test (SKT): 75 marks on Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety
   • Section 2 – Executive Aptitude Test (EAT): 25 marks covering numerical ability, reading comprehension, reasoning, general awareness, and data interpretation
   • Total: 100 objective-type questions of 1 mark each
   • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
   • Duration: 2 hours
3. Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the CBT are called for a personal interview.

No TA/DA is payable for appearing in the Computer Based Test or Interview.
