A walk-In Interview for temporary post on contractual basis has been scheduled to be held on 30/04/2022 for two posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST sponsored project (MRDP) under SPLICE - Climate Change Programme. The title of the project is “Impact of Climate Change on Water Resources of Arunachal Pradesh”. The project has been sanctioned up to 31.12.2023. Details of the eligibility criteria for different posts along with the monthly emoluments are given below: Details of the eligibility criteria for different posts along with the monthly emoluments are given below: 1. Position : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 2. No. of Post : Two 3. Educational Qualification: M. Tech. in Soil and Water Engg/ Irrigation and Drainage Engg/ Hydrology/ Remote Sensing and GIS. PG degree in Soil and Water Engg/ Irrigation and Drainage Engg/Water Resources Engg./Hydrology Hydrogeology/Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing and GIS. 4. Other Required Skill/ Experience: NET/GATE, experience in handling geospatial software and hydrological modeling will be given preference. NET/GATE, experience in handling geospatial software, Hydrological/ Hydrogeological/Ground Water modeling will be given preference 5. Monthly Emoluments: ₹ 31,000/- + HRA @ 8% for first two years and ₹ 35,000/- + HRA @ 8% for third year (Consolidated)

North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) is a science and technology-oriented higher education institute in Nirjuli, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. It was established in 1984. It is a deemed university, autonomous and controlled by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education. The institute is managed by a Board of Management, comprising representatives of MHRD. The state governor of Arunachal Pradesh is the de facto head of the highest body, NERIST Society, which consists of education ministers of all North Eastern States. The Board of Management is headed by the Chairman, Air Marshal (Retd.) Pranab Kumar Barbora.
The undergraduate programmes of Engineering are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
