Salary (per month):
- Research Scientist: ₹56,100 + applicable DA, HRA, and medical benefits for self.
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000 (Fellowship) + HRA (as applicable) + medical benefits for self.
- Project Associate-I: ₹31,000 + HRA (as applicable) + medical benefits for self.
Selection Procedure: Walk-in Interview. No written test. The selection is purely based on the candidate's performance in the interview.

How to Attend the Walk-in Interview
There is no online application process. Candidates must attend the walk-in interview in person. The interview schedule is post-wise.
- Download Biodata Format: Download the prescribed biodata format from the NESAC website: nesac.gov.in/category/career/. The biodata must be neatly typed (handwritten will not be accepted).
- Prepare Documents: Carry the following documents to the interview:
- Typed Biodata (as per the prescribed format).
- All original certificates (educational qualifications, experience, age proof, etc.) for verification.
- One set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates.
- Original No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently employed in a Government/PSU/Autonomous Body.
- A valid Government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.).
- For foreign degree holders: Equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Separate Biodata for each post, if applying for more than one.
- Reporting Time & Venue: Report to the venue on the scheduled interview date (10, 11, or 12 August 2026).

Key Instructions for Candidates
- NET/GATE Mandatory for JRF: Candidates applying for JRF posts must have a valid NET/GATE or equivalent qualification (CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, JAM, JEST/JGEEBILS, or AICE) in the relevant discipline. The score card must be produced at the interview.
- Academic Percentage: Rounding-off of marks or CGPA is not allowed. The exact percentage must be calculated as per the university's practice.
- Specialization/Dissertation: Candidates must clearly mention their specialization, dissertation, or thesis in the relevant field with supporting proof.
- Temporary Nature: All positions are purely temporary, project-based, and co-terminus with the project. There is no provision for regularization.
- Maximum Tenure: Research Scientist: up to 3 years; JRF and Project Associate-I: up to 5 years.
- No TA/DA: No Travelling Allowance or Dearness Allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
