Eligibility Criteria for NFR Railway Recruitment 2026

1. Educational & Scout/Guide Qualifications

For Level-2 (GP 1900) Posts:

• 12th Pass (+2 stage) or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks (relaxation for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen or higher qualifications).
• Typing Proficiency: 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi.
• For Artisan Posts: 10th pass with ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.

For Level-1 (GP 1800) Posts:

• 10th Pass OR ITI (NCVT/SCVT) OR equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

Mandatory Scouts & Guides Qualification (For All Posts):

• President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder.
• Active membership for the last 5 years (from 01.04.2016 onwards).
• Attendance at two National/All India Railway level events AND two State level events.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

Note: There is no community-wise reservation against Scouts & Guides quota. Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

Application Procedure:

1. Fill the prescribed application form (available on the official website).
2. Enclose self-attested copies of all testimonials: age, educational qualifications, Scouts & Guides activity certificates, and community certificate (if applicable).
3. Attach two self-addressed envelopes (24cm x 10cm) with ₹6/- postage stamp (Not required for SC/ST candidates).
4. Paste one passport-size photograph in uniform on the application form. Clip two additional signed copies.
5. Pay the examination fee via IPO (Indian Postal Order) drawn in favour of "PFA/NF Railway", payable at Maligaon Post Office, Guwahati.
