Educational Qualification:

  • For most trades: Passed Matriculation (Class 10) with minimum 50% marks (aggregate) from a recognized board AND possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
  • For Medical Laboratory Technician: Passed 12th Class with Physics, Chemistry & Biology with 50% marks in both 10th & 12th.

Salary:






Minimum stipend of ₹9,600 per month (1st year), increasing to ₹10,560 (2nd year) and ₹11,040 (3rd year).

Selection Procedure:
Merit List based on academic marks (Matriculation + ITI average).

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is one of the 18 railway zones in India. It is headquartered in Maligaon, Guwahati and covers the northeastern states of India, including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Meghalaya, as well as parts of West Bengal and Bihar.

NFR was formed in 1958 by amalgamating two railway systems: the Assam Railway and the Northeast Frontier Railway (old). Over the years, it has undergone many changes and expansions to meet the growing transportation needs of the region.

Today, NFR has a total route length of around 4,000 km and operates both passenger and freight services. It has also undertaken several initiatives to modernize its infrastructure and improve the quality of services offered to passengers and freight customers.
