District GIS Expert / Block GIS Coordinator: Candidates Should have BE/ B.Tech, ME/ M.Tech, M.Sc, Post Graduation Degree/ Diploma, MCA.

Block NRM Expert: Candidates Should have BE/ B.Tech in Civil/ Agriculture Engineering.

Block Livelihood Expert: Candidates Should have Masters Degree.

Assam was one of the States in India to reacted Panchayat Act and started the Panchayati Raj in the State when the Act of Assam Rural Panchayat was passed, in the year 1948.

The motto of Panchayat and Rural Development was for upliftment of the rural people in Assam State.The Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam works largely to increase the day- to-day necessities of life by getting opportunity, provides social security and works for economic inclusion of rural and poor families.

The Panchayat & Rural Development Department is trying to implement different number of programmes that provides help in the rural area of the State by giving power of rights based on law, and that aims to change the of poverty in the State.
