POSOCO Invites Application for 6 Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2022

Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. (POSOCO), a Govt. of India Enterprise, under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, is a Knowledge based organization of National importance. It is responsible for managing the Power System Operations - a mission critical activity, with security, economy and reliability.

i. To achieve this, it has adopted a multidisciplinary approach with state-of-the-art technology. It ensures equitable use of Transmission Infrastructure and has invested significantly in its human capital and towards strengthening the whole power system faculty.

ii. It operates the North Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre and the five Regional Load Despatch Centers. Its North Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre (Lower Nongrah, Lapalang, Shillong-793006) proposes to engage 06 Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for a period of one-year apprenticeship training in the following diploma trades

1. Post Name: Graduate Apprentices

2. No of Posts: 06

3 Duration of Training: 1 Year

4. Monthly Stipend (Rs.): 15000

5. Prescribed Qualification, Eligibility criteria:

i. Any Indian citizen passed out Graduate in Engineering in the concerned specialization from an institute recognized by AICTE, Govt. of India can apply.

ii. Candidates who have already registered /undergone /undergoing apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act elsewhere are not eligible to apply.

iii. Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), candidates passed out Graduate earlier than 2019 will not be able to apply for apprenticeship.

6. Duration of the training:

The duration of the training will be one year and contract would be terminated automatically after completion of the apprenticeship training period. Provisionally selected candidates have to give undertaking that after completion of training they will not ask for employment.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit based on their marks obtained in Graduation in Engineering. If two or more candidates secure equal marks while preparing merit list, then the candidate of higher age will be considered.
