Educational Qualification: LLB
Applications are invited from eligible persons for appointment of Independent Member (01) to the Corporate Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (Corporate Forum) for redressal of grievances of the consumers, as per following terms & conditions:-
One full time Independent Member who is at least 45 years of age and is familiar with the consumer affairs shall be nominated by the Commission. The Independent Member shall be a person having at least a graduate degree. Preference would be given to the person having:
1. Post Name: Independent Member
2. No of Post: 01
3. The Independent Member shall be a person having at least a graduate degree. Preference would be given to the person having:
(a) degree in law;
(b) association with a NGO and
(c) knowledge of the Power Sector
4. The Independent Member shall carry out the functions/duties as envisaged under sub section (5) of section of 42 of the Electricity Act, 2003 read with Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules, 2020 and PSERC (Forum and Ombudsman) Regulations 2016 as amended from time to time.
5. He/she shall be nominated for two years and the tenure may be extended further for one year by the Commission subject to maximum age limit of 65 years.
6. He will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs. 60,000/- per month towards remuneration.

2. The envelope containing application may be superscribed as “Application for nomination as an Independent Member to the Corporate Forum".
3. The decision of the Commission in all matters would be final and binding and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The application received late or incomplete will not be entertained.
