Eligibility for Assistant Professor

• Essential: Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or equivalent from accredited foreign university. Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or accredited SLET/SET or awarded Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2018 (and amendments).
• Experience: Not specified explicitly, but adherence to UGC norms regarding Ph.D. and NET/SLET/SET is required.
• Special Conditions for Ph.D.: Ph.D. candidates registered before July 11, 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if Ph.D. awarded, thesis evaluated by two external examiners, open viva conducted, two research papers published (at least one in refereed journal), and at least two conference presentations. Ph.D. from top 500 ranked university (QS, THE, ARWU Shanghai) exempts NET/SLET/SET.
