The main aim of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) is "National Mission for Secondary Education" is funded scheme by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, of Indian Government. It main focus is to develop secondary education in public schools all over India. The major objectives is to enhance quality of secondary education and increase the number of enrollment rate from 52% to 75% in five years, i.e. from 2009 - 2014. It aims to provide education to all children between 15 - 16 years of age. The funds are provided from state governments, which started its own separate implementing agencies
The Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan is systematic plan of Indian Government that was started in March, 2009, to intensify the ease of access to secondary education and its improvement in its quality. The plan consist of multidimensional research, technical consulting, implementation and funding support. In its four year of implementation, RMSA consist of 50,000 government and secondary schools in it. In an addition it has of 30,000 secondary schools which can access the benefits of RMSA; but not infrastructure.
