Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview/medical test/walkin interview. Once a candidate is selected they will be placed as Scientist-B in Recruitment and Assessment Centre.
i) The shortlisted candidates on the basis of Subject Specific Examination scores will be required to appear in the Personal Interview to be held at Delhi or any other place as decided by RAC/ DRDO. ii) The offer of appointment to the selected candidates will be restricted to the number of vacancies in order of merit. The appointment, however, will be subject to satisfying conditions like qualifying the Medical Examination prescribed for Group ‘A’ Technical posts of Govt. of India with Field Service liability and verification of character antecedents besides verification of PwD/SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate etc, wherever applicable. iii) Final result (customised for individual candidate) will be made available at RAC website (https://rac.gov.in)

RAC, the Recruitment and Assessment Centre of DRDO was set up on 23 July 1985 after getting exemption from the purview of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It is situated at Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi. RAC has undertaken various recruitment programmes to induct scientists each year in variety of scientific and engineering disciplines relevant to DRDO Laboratories and assessed the suitability of DRDO scientists for promotion to next higher grade through duly constituted Assessment Boards/ Peer Committee.
