3. Project Titled: “Setting up of Nation-Wide Network of Laboratories for Managing Epidemics and National Calamities” Regional Virus Research Dignostic Laboratory (VRDL) 

4. Salary: Rs 67,000/- +HRA

5. Essential Qualification:

(i) Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with one year R & D /teaching experience or Post graduate diploma in medical subjects with 02 years R & D / teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university. OR

(ii) MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized university with 04 year R & D experience in the required subject after MBBS degree. OR

(iii) BDS /B.V. Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI / VCI with 05 years R & D / teaching experience in the relevant subject after BDS/ B. V. Sc degree.

6. Desirable Qualification:

(i) MD in the relevant subject from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree. (MD Microbiology/ DNB Microbiology).

(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/training experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s).

(iii) Knowledge and training of molecular virology as part of the postgraduate curriculum and hands-on experience of molecular biology techniques including conventional PCR, real-time PCR, sequencing and data interpretation and troubleshooting.

(iv) Previous experience of biosafety measures and handling samples for respiratory virus detection and characterisation.
