Sainik School Rewari was inaugurated on 29th Aug 2008 by Shri. AK Antony, Hon’ble Raksha Mantri. The proposed permanent location of the school is at village Gothra Tappa Khori, District. Rewari (Haryana), situated 15 km south – west of Rewari town on Rewari – Narnaul Road. The school is temporarily functioning from Old Govt. College, Sector – 4, Rewari. The State Government has handed over Youth Hostel, Rao Tula Ram Stadium, Rewari for temporary use as a residential complex for the cadets.

Sainik School Rewari was established on 29th August 2008. It is located in Haryana. The goal of the school is to prepare the boys academically, physically and psychologically for entry into the National Defence Academy or other walks of life. The education in the school follows CBSE pattern. Students are selected through an entrance examination (All India sainik school entrance exam-AISSEE) for the entry into 6th and 9th standard. The cadets with leadership skills are trained to become officers in the Army, Navy and AirForce. Only Indian citizens are eligible for entry into the Sainik school.
