Educational Qualification:
TGT (Social Science): (i) Graduate/Post Graduate in Social Science of the recognized institution with any two of the following :- History, Geography, Economics and Political Science of which one must be either History or Geography (ii) B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized university. (iii) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose or Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) of any state. (iv) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.

Sainik School Rewari was inaugurated on 29th Aug 2008 by Shri. AK Antony, Hon’ble Raksha Mantri. The proposed permanent location of the school is at village Gothra Tappa Khori, District. Rewari (Haryana), situated 15 km south – west of Rewari town on Rewari – Narnaul Road. The school is temporarily functioning from Old Govt. College, Sector – 4, Rewari. The State Government has handed over Youth Hostel, Rao Tula Ram Stadium, Rewari for temporary use as a residential complex for the cadets.
