• Professor: Level-14A (Rs. 1,68,900 - Rs. 2,20,400)

Additional Benefits: Non-practicing allowance (for clinically qualified candidates) and other allowances as per Institute rules. New pension scheme applicable.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Cut-off Date for Qualification & Experience: 28.02.2026

General Requirements (For All Posts):

• Medical Qualification: Included in the first/second schedule or Part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Postgraduate Qualification: Recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). DNB/DrNB is treated equivalent to MD/MS/DM/MCh.
• Teaching Experience (Mandatory):
  • Professor: 13 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS/DNB.
  • Associate Professor: 06 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS/DNB.
  • Assistant Professor: 03 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS/DNB.
  • Note: 03 years as Senior Resident in an NMC-recognized institute is mandatory for Professor posts.
• Research Publications: Required for Senior posts (e.g., Min. 4 for Professor, 2 for Associate/Additional Professor).
• Biomedical Research Course: Completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) is mandatory for all posts.

Department-Specific Qualifications:

• Anaesthesiology: MD/MS/DNB (Anaesthesiology)
• Cardiology: DM/DNB/DrNB (Cardiology)
• Neurology: DM/DNB/DrNB (Neurology)
• General Medicine based (e.g., Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology): DM/DNB/DrNB in respective specialty or MD/DNB with specific transition period training.

2. Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 50 years as on 28/02/2026.
• Age Relaxation:

  • OBC: 03 years

3. Mandatory Requirements

• Domicile: Only candidates holding a domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh are eligible.
• Caste Certificate: Must be issued by competent UP authority. For women candidates, caste is determined by birth (father's name, not husband's name).
• Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to certification by the Medical Board of the Institute.
