Sub: Inviting nominations for filling up the posts on a deputation basis in the SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad -Regarding 1. Post Name: Photographic Officer 2. No. of Post: 01 3. Classification of the Post: General Central Service, Group 'B' Gazetted, Non- Ministerial 4. Scale of Pay: (Rs. 44900-142400) 5. Method of Recruitment: By deputation/promotion 6. Eligibility: Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Autonomous or Statutory Organization or Public Sector Undertakings or University or Recognised Research Institution; holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or With 5 years service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in the Level-6 in the pay matrix ( Rs. 35400-112400/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; and possessing the following educational qualifications and experience: Diploma in Photography or Cinematography from a recognized University or Institution. a. Minimum five years experience in Photography(Color or Feature) experience: Diploma in Photography or Cinematography from a recognized University or Institution. Minimum five years experience in Photography(Color or Feature) The Departmental Cameraman in Level-5 in the pay matrix ( Rs. 29200-92300) with five years of regular service in the grade and possessing the educational qualification prescribed for deputations will also be considered along with outsiders. If the departmental candidate is selected for appointment to the post, it shall be treated as having been filled by promotion. d its transcription, assisting in drafting and issue of all correspondences as may be directed by the officer. Managing of appointments/ engagements. Attending to the telephone calls and receiving visitors. Maintaining the papers required to be retained by the officer. Destroying by shredding/ burning the stenographic records of the confidential and secret letters. Assisting the officer in such a manner as she/he may direct. Assisting the officer in training-related activities. Any other administrative duties as and when assigned by the competent authority. 8. DA, HRA and other allowances including training allowances will be admissible as per Central Government orders issued from time to time. The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three (03) years.

The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), trains officers of the Indian Police Service, who have been selected through an All India based Civil Services Examination. The trained officers will be posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in their respective states under whom the other sub-ranks of police force will be working. The recruitment of sub-ranks such as Constables,Sub-Inspectors, Deputy Superintendents of Police is each states prerogative, and will be done by respective state Director Generals of Police. The IPS cadre is controlled by the Home Ministry of the Government of India and the officer of this service can only be appointed removed by an order of the President of India
