Number of Vacancy: 104 Posts (Gen-28, OBC-24, SC-42, EWS-10)
Educational Qualification:
English: Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University with English as an elective subject with at least 50% marks. Bachelor of Education Degree recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with English as a teaching subject. Pass in Central Teacher's Eligibility Test (Paper-11) for the post of Masters/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.
Punjabi: Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University with Punjabi as an elective subject with at least 50% marks. Bachelor of Education / Degree recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with Punjabi as teaching subject. Pass in Central Teacher's Eligibility Test (Paper-I) for the post of Masters/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.
Mathematics:
i) Graduate from a recognized university with Mathematics as one of the elective subjects with at least 50% marks;
ii) Bachelor of Education Degree recognized from an Institute recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with Mathematics as a teaching subject.
iii) Pass in Central Teacher's Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Masters/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.
General Science (Medical):
i) Graduate with at least 50% marks from a recognized university with Zoology, Botany & Chemistry.
ii) Bachelor of Education Degree or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE with Science as a teaching subject and at least 50% marks in aggregate.
iii) Pass in Central Teacher's Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Masters/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.
General Science (Non-Medical):
i) Graduate of a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
ii) Bachelor of Education Degree or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE with Science/ Mathematics as a teaching subject and at least 50% marks in aggregate.
iii) Pass in Central Teacher's Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Masters/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.
Social Science: Graduate with at least 50% marks with any two of the following seven elective subjects from a recognized university. History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Public Administration and Psychology. Bachelor of Education Degree or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE with Social Studies/Social Science as teaching subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Pass in Central Teacher's Eligibility Test (Paper-1) for the post of Masters/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.
Hindi: Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University with Hindi as an elective subject with at least 50% marks. Bachelor of Education Degree recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with Hindi as a teaching subject. Pass in Central Teacher's Eligibility Test (Paper-II) for the post of Masters/Mistresses as per the details conditions notified by NCTE from time to time will be applicable.
Pay Scale:

54870/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 37 Years.

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Society U.T. Chandigarh project is put under the control of Director School Education who performs as State Project Director (SSA). Education Secretary is chairman of the executive committee. Governing council is headed by Hon’ able Administrator of Chandigarh U.T. State Project Unit has been created by taking persons on deputation and contract. The State institute of Education performs as academic wing of the unit. In-service teacher training and research work is undertaken by it. Chandigarh is a small UT therefore no structure has been created at district sub district level. All schools have been divided in administrative 20 Clusters. Each cluster has about 5 to 6 schools. Cluster is headed by the head of respective senior secondary school.
