Sports Authority of India an autonomous organization under the Administrative control of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports with its Head office at Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003, invites applications from the eligible candidates for engagement as Assistant Nutritionist on contract basis at various SAI, Centers/ Head Office, New Delhi.

1. Name of the Post: Assistant Nutritionist
2. Number of person required: 03
3. Monthly remuneration (Rs.) : 40,000/- to 60,000/-
4. Qualification and experience required. : Masters in Foods & Nutritionist/ Home Science with specialization in Nutrition/ Sports Nutrition from recognized Indian University.
5. Experience:- Minimum 2(Two years in the relevant field). Preference will be given to candidates with experience of working with sportsperson.
6. Tenure: - Initially contractual engagement will be for a period of one year extendable by two years. At the end of every year performance will be evaluated for annual increment. However, periodic evaluation shall be made on performance and if found not satisfactory contract shall be terminated at any time by giving one month notice.
7. Remuneration: - will be finalized based on performance and experience.
8. Tax Deduction at source: - The income tax or any other tax liable to be deducted, as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting the payment, for which the SAI will issue TDS certificates/ Service Tax, as applicable.
9. Other Allowances: - No TA /DA shall be admissible for joining the assignment or on its completion. No other facilities like DA, Accommodation, Residential Phone, Conveyance /Transport, Personal Staff, Medical reimbursement, HRA, and LTC etc. would be admissible to them.
10.Leave: - They will be entitled for 30 days leave in a calendar year on pro- rata basis. Therefore, the contract employee shall not draw any remuneration in case of his/her absence beyond 30 days in a year. Also un- availed leave in a calendar year will lapse and will not be carried forward to the next calendar year.

Selection Procedure
1. The candidates who fulfilled the eligibility criteria will be called for an interview at SAI Head Office at New Delhi through e-mail in 1:5 ratio based on the final marks secured in Masters in Foods & Nutritionist/ Home Science with specialization in Nutrition/ Sports Nutrition from recognized Indian University. No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
2. SAI reserve the right to cancel the advertisement or the selection process at any stage without assigning any reason.
3. DG SAI shall be the final authority in case of any dispute. Any litigation matters pertaining to employment at SAI shall be restricted to the jurisdiction of Delhi court.

No change in the e-mail ID will be allowed once entered. Self attested documents to be uploaded while submitting application online:
1) Certificate of Date of birth.
2) Certificates of essential educational qualifications & experience.
3) Scanned copy of passport size colour photograph and signature.
4) Scanned copy of No Objection Certificate from their present employer, in case working in Central/ State Government/ Autonomous Organizations on regular basis.

About Sports Authority of India
Sports Authority of India (SAI) was set up in 1984 to carry forward the legacy of the IXth Asian Games held in New Delhi in 1982 under the Department of Sports. SAl has been entrusted with the twin objectives of promoting sports and achieving sporting excellence at the national and international level. SAI was set up as a Society registered of Societies Act, 1860 in pursuance of the Resolution No. 1-1/83/SAI dated 25th January 1984 of the Department of Sports, Govt. of India with the objective of promotion of Sports and Games as detailed in the Resolution. SAI has played a significant role in shaping India’s sports development by providing training to elite athletes and at the same time operating a number of schemes for the identification and development of young talent. The schemes are being implemented through various regional centres and training centres of SAI spread throughout the country. In addition to that, a number of academic programmes in physical education and sports are also offered by SAI. SAI is also entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining and utilizing, on the behalf of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the following Stadia in Delhi which were constructed/renovated for the IX Asian Games held in New Delhi in 1982 :-
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) is a body set up by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It was established in the year 1984 to help promote sport throughout India. Its headquarters is located at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex, New Delhi.
Sports Authority of India has two academic Wings which provide certificate courses in physical education, sports and sports medicine, namely, Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala for coaches and the Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE) at Thiruvananthapuram.
NSNIS, Patiala conducts the following programmes: Diploma Course in Sports Coaching, Masters Course in Sports Coaching, Certificate Course in Sports Coaching, Post-graduate Diploma Course in Sports Medicine, Refresher Courses.
LNCPE, Thiruvananthapuram conducts the following courses : Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE), Master of Physical Education (MPE), Regular and Part-time Ph.D programmes.

(Orthopedics )/M.D. (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation )/ M.D. (Physiology), Master in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.), B.Tech. / M.Tech / BE / ME in Electrical /Mechanical / Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. In Physics/Chemistry/Biological Sciences, Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, for a great career at Sports Authority of India.
