Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Chief Coach

• Age Limit: Not exceeding 64 years as of the opening date for submission of applications.
• Service Background: Officers retired from Central/State Governments, PSUs, Autonomous or Statutory organizations, or Universities/Research institutions who held:
  • An analogous post in their parent cadre.
  • OR Pay Level-11 (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700) with 05 years of regular service.
  • OR Pay Level-10/11 with 10 years of regular service (including at least 02 years in Level-11).
• Essential Qualification:
  • Diploma or equivalent in coaching from SAI NS NIS or any recognized Indian/Foreign University.
  • OR Medalist in Olympics/World Championships or twice Olympic participation.
  • OR Dronacharya Awardee.
• Desirable Experience: 03 years of coaching experience in relevant sports from a Government, recognized institute, or private organization.

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly Pay: Fixed amount calculated by deducting the basic pension (including commuted portions) from the pay drawn at the time of retirement.
• Transport Allowance: Rs. 5,580/- or Rs. 11,160/- per month, depending on the place of posting.
• Leave: 1.5 days per completed month (up to 18 days per year) on a pro-rata basis.
• Exclusions: No annual increments, Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, residential phone, or medical reimbursement will be provided.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the scrutiny of applications followed by an interview. The final selection will be based on the recommendations of the Interview Committee.
