Eligibility Criteria

The selection of Past Champion Athletes will be based on the following preference hierarchy:

Eligibility for Past Champion Athlete

  • 1st Preference (Individual sports): Represented India at recognized International competition under recognized NSF / Association of respective sports.
  • 1st Preference (Team sports): Represented India at recognized International competition under recognized NSF / Association of respective sports.
  • 2nd Preference (Individual sports): Medal winner at Senior National Championship conducted by recognized NSF or Medal Winner at Khelo India Games.
  • 2nd Preference (Team sports): Part of Medal winning team at Senior National conducted by recognized NSF or Part of Medal Winning team at Khelo India Games.
  • 3rd Preference (Individual sports): Medal Winner at National AIU Championship.
  • 3rd Preference (Team sports): Part of Medal winning team at National AIU Championship.
  • 4th Preference (Individual sports): Represented State in Senior National Championship conducted by recognized NSF or Participation in Khelo India Games.
  • 4th Preference (Team sports): Represented State in Senior National Championship conducted by recognized NSF or Participation in Khelo India Games.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age limit for applicants will be 40 Years.
  • However, in special cases, where there is a remarkable achievement in the given sporting discipline, age relaxation may be considered at the discretion of Director of Sports & Youth Affairs -cum-Member Secretary, SDAP.

Selection Process

The Selection will be based on preliminary short listing of applications based on qualifications, followed by an interview. However, this is subject to modification by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs - SDAP at any stage.
