• Civil Engineer (YP-3): B.E./B.Tech (Full Time) in Civil Engineering with minimum 10 years post-qualification experience.
• Surveyor (YP-2): B.E./B.Tech (Full Time) in Mining & Mines Survey / Mining Engineering with minimum 6 years post-qualification experience. Must hold a valid Surveyor's Certificate of Competency for Metalliferous Mines under MMR 1961.
• IT Engineer (YP-1): B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology / CS-IT, or 3-year MCA, with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Electronics Engineer (YP-1): B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Automation / Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The SAIL CMLO Young Professional selection involves the following stages:

1. Application Screening: All applications are short-listed by a Screening Committee based on eligibility and experience criteria.
2. Computer Based Test (CBT) and/or Personal Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Computer Based Test followed by Personal Interaction, or Personal Interaction only, as decided by the screening committee.
3. Final Merit List: The final selection is based on a combined weightage of CBT and Personal Interaction in the ratio of 80:20 respectively.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the selection process. These are contractual positions — they do not carry permanent government service benefits such as pension or long-term job security.
