Applications are invited for personal interview to be held for the following posts at Multi Disciplinary Research Unit (MRU)-SMIMER, Surat. 1. Name of The Post: Research Scientist I 2. Number of Posts: 01 3. Fixed Remuneration/Month: 56,000/- + HRA 4. Minimum Essential Qualifications & Experience: MBBS from any institute recognized by NMC/MCI OR Second Class M.Sc plus Ph.D degree in the relevant subject (e.g. Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Genetics /other relevant life science subjects) from recognized university/ teaching/ research institution OR First Class Master's Degree in the relevant subject (e.g. Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics /other relevant life science subjects) from recognized university/ teaching/ research institution 5. Tenure of the Post: Above posts are temporary in nature and will be filled up purely on contractual basis with initial appointment for eleven (11) months as per rules and regulations of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) & Department of Health Research (DHR). This employment will be temporary, for a fixed term and shall automatically cease on expiry of term without any notice unless renewed or reemployment letter issued.

Presently this institute has all civic amenities, batter infrastructural facility including building, equipment & instruments, staff and material required for patients to cater to the health.
Vision & Mission of the SMIMER is to promote and develop centre of excellence. This would provide state of art healthcare facilities to the people seeking medical services and provide excel in medical teaching and training and research activities, and provide quality medical education, medical science through discovery, research,scholarship and communication.
