Educational Qualification:
College Librarian: A Master’s Degree in Library Science or Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with not less than fifty five percentage of marks.
Librarian: (i) A Master’s Degree of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission; (10+2+3+2 pattern) and (ii) A Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission; and (iii) Must have experience as Librarian for a period of not less than five years in Academic or Public or Special or Corporate Libraries.
District Library Officer: 1. Any Master’s Degree of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission in the pattern of 10+2 or its equivalent + 3 + 2; and 2. A Master’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission; and 3. Must have experience for a period of not less than three years in any of the libraries in a supervisory cadre.
Library Assistant: 1. A Degree; and 2. A Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science.
Librarian and Information Assistant: 1. A Bachelor’s Degree of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission. 2. A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
