Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Only candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply. Age limits are determined as on the closing date of advertisement.

Deputy Registrar (Mumbai – 2 Posts, Level-12, Age: 50 Years)

  • Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade 'B' in UGC seven-point scale, plus nine years' experience as Assistant Professor at Academic Level 10 and above with experience in educational administration; OR comparable experience in research establishment / higher education institutions; OR 5 years' administrative experience as Assistant Registrar in Pay Level 10 or equivalent.
  • For Deputation: Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with five years' regular service in Pay Level 11.
  • One Deputy Registrar position requires specialization in Finance/Accounts, Audit and related fields.

Deputy Librarian (Hyderabad – 1 Post, Academic Level-12, Age: 50 Years)

  • Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
  • Eight years' experience as Assistant University Librarian / College Librarian.
  • Evidence of innovative library services including ICT integration.

System Analyst-cum-Programmer (Mumbai – 1 Post, Level-10, Age: 45 Years)

  • First class in M.E./M.Tech. (Computer Science & Technology / Information Technology) with two years of relevant experience; OR
  • First class in Master in Computer Applications (MCA) with two years of relevant experience; OR

Health Officer (Tuljapur – 1 Post, Level-10, Age: 45 Years)

  • MBBS recognized by Medical Council of India, registered with MCI / State Medical Council.
  • Three years' working experience in a hospital attached with a medical college / corporate hospital.

Field Work Coordinator (Mumbai – 1 Post, Level-10, Age: 45 Years)

  • Master's Degree in Social Work with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade 'B' in UGC seven-point scale.
  • 15 years' experience in field work.

  • Bachelor's Degree in any stream from any recognised Institute/University with five years' experience as Security Supervisor / Supervisory position in Security in a Govt. office, Educational Institution, or Private organisation of repute with annual turnover of Rs. 200 crores and above; OR
  • Person who has served in the Army or such Uniformed service at JCO level or equivalent or above with 10th standard pass or Army Class I Examination or equivalent, AND holding a valid driving licence (LMV/Motor Cycle).

Age Relaxation

  • SC / ST / OBC (Central List) / PwBD / Ex-servicemen: Upper age relaxable as per Govt of India orders.
  • Regular Service Employees: Relaxable up to a maximum of 5 years or the number of years of service, whichever is less, provided at least 3 years' regular service in Central Govt / State Govt / Central Universities / UGC-maintained deemed universities / other Central-State autonomous bodies.
  • Permanent Internal Employees: Upper age relaxed up to Pay Level 9, provided requisite qualification and experience are acquired.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection for TISS Non-Teaching positions will be based on the following process:

  • Shortlisting / Written Test: Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted. A written test may be conducted if the number of eligible applicants exceeds the screening threshold prescribed by the institute.
  • Interview / Personal Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview or personal interaction as scheduled by TISS. The institute reserves the right to determine the selection methodology based on the number of applicants.
  • Document Verification: Candidates qualifying the interview will undergo thorough verification of original documents and experience certificates at the time of the written test / interview.
  • Contract Duration (Deputy Registrar on Deputation): The Deputy Registrar post on Deputation is initially for one year, with possibility of absorption subject to administrative requirements and availability of the post.
  • No TA/DA: No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
  • Canvassing: Canvassing in any form or bringing political or other influence will result in disqualification.
  • Jurisdiction: Legal disputes shall be restricted to the High Court, Mumbai.
