Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited, invites online applications for 31 positions of Assistant Manager, Supervisor, and Workmen on a fixed-term contract basis. Eligible candidates can apply online from 11 August to 1 September 2026.

Post-wise Vacancy Details

1. Assistant Manager (8 Vacancies)

*Backlog vacancies. Age Limit: 30 years (as on 01.09.2026). Consolidated Pay: ₹49,500 – ₹54,540 per month.

2. Supervisor (13 Vacancies)

*Backlog vacancy. Age Limit: 45 years (as on 01.09.2026). Consolidated Pay: ₹40,650 – ₹44,164 per month. PwBD candidates can apply for Supervisor (Finance) only.

3. Workmen (10 Vacancies)

Age Limit: 30 years (as on 01.09.2026). Gross Pay: ₹25,000 – ₹29,520 per month. PwBD candidates can apply for all Workmen posts except Technician (Electrical).

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Post-specific as detailed in the vacancy tables. All qualifications must be from institutions recognized by AICTE/appropriate statutory authority/Central/State Government. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must provide an Equivalency Certificate.
• Experience: Post-qualification experience, reckoned as on 01.09.2026. Experience certificates must clearly indicate dates and nature of duties. Work experience obtained from contractors (Proprietary/Partnership firms) requires Principal Employer's endorsement.
• Age Limit: Assistant Manager & Workmen: Max 30 years (born on/after 02.09.1996). Supervisor: Max 45 years (born on/after 02.09.1981). Relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD as per Government guidelines.
• Application Fee: ₹400 (Assistant Manager); ₹300 (Supervisor/Workmen). SC/ST candidates exempted for all posts; PwBD candidates exempted for Supervisor/Workmen posts.
• Selection Process: Varies by post group:
  • Assistant Manager: Objective Test (50 marks) + PowerPoint Presentation (30 marks) + Interview (20 marks).
  • Supervisor: Written Test (Objective 40 marks + Descriptive 40 marks) + PowerPoint Presentation (20 marks).
  • Workmen: Objective Test + Descriptive/Practical Test as applicable.

How to Apply

2. Read User Manual & FAQ: Go through the User Manual and FAQ before filling the application.
3. One-time Registration: Complete the one-time registration on the SAP online application portal.
4. Fill Application: Fill the online application for the relevant post. Ensure all details are accurate. Only one application per candidate is allowed.
5. Upload Documents: Upload all required certificates (proof of age, educational qualification, experience, caste/disability, etc.) and a recent passport-size colour photograph.
6. Pay Fee: Pay the applicable application fee online (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking; UPI/Wallets for Workmen posts).
7. Submit Application: Submit the application and confirm the status shows "In process" under "My Applications."
8. Retain Copy: Retain a soft copy/printout of the application with the unique registration number for future reference.

Last Date for Online Application: 01 September 2026. Applications submitted directly or by any other mode shall not be accepted. Incomplete or draft applications will not be considered.

Key Instructions for Candidates

• Online Only: Applications are accepted only through the SAP online portal. No offline mode is available.
• Eligibility Check: Verify post-specific educational qualification, experience, and age requirements before applying.
• Document Upload: Upload all required certificates (age, qualification, experience, caste/disability, photograph) in the portal. Incomplete uploads will lead to rejection.
• Application Fee: Pay the correct fee online. Fee is non-refundable. SC/ST (all posts) and PwBD (Supervisor/Workmen) are exempted.
• Experience Proof: Ensure experience certificates clearly indicate dates of joining/relieving and nature of duties. For contract employment, provide ESI/EPF statements as proof.
• Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates for verification. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
• No TA/DA: No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the selection process.

• Jurisdiction: Any legal dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts at Udupi only.
