Skills / Eligibility
A walk-in-interview will be held on 13/05/2022 from 10.00 am onwards in the Department of Environmental Science, Tezpur University for one (01) temporary position of one (01) Research Associate in the ‘Centre of Excellence’ research project funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India entitled “Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation for a Climate Resilient North East India” under the National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) under the Principal Investigator Dr. Ashalata Devi, Department of Environmental Science, Tezpur University. 1. Position: Research Associate 2. No of Post: 01 3. Essential Qualifications: Candidates should have Ph.D. in Agriculture/Environmental Science/Applied Biological Science. 4. Fellowship: 47,000 (Rupees forty seven thousand) only per month plus 8% HRA as admissible if no accommodation is provided by the Institute. 5. Duration: Appointment will be initially for a period of one (01) year, which may be extended further depending upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent and co-terminus with the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

a) Interested candidates who are motivated and willing to undertake field and laboratory work, may send their latest Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with through e-mail to [email protected] by 12/05/2022 and/or may appear before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable),
b) No Objection Certificate (if applicable) experience certificate (if any), certificate of NET/GATE (if any), copy of the publication (if any), two passport size photographs, and a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) on the day of the interview. Verification of original documents of the candidate(s) will be done before appearing on the interview board.
N.B. (1) No. TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(2) Those in employment must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer.
(3) Candidates appearing for the walk-in-interview should fill up the application form enclosed.
(4) The decision of the Selection Committee/Tezpur University authority would be final and binding in all aspects.
(5) Appointment of project staff is purely temporary, and award of fellowship does not confer any right for absorption/employment in Tezpur University.
