Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Eligibility varies by post. Candidates must possess the following:

  • Agniveer GD: Class 10th Pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For grading systems, grades commensurate to percentage are considered.
  • Agniveer Technical: 10+2/Intermediate pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
  • Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper: 10+2/Intermediate pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks aggregate and 50% in each subject.
  • Agniveer Tradesman: Class 8th Pass (for some trades) or 10th Pass (for others) with 33% marks in each subject.

Note: Candidates awaiting 10th/12th results can apply but must produce original marksheets during Phase II.

2. Age Limit

Critical Date for Age Calculation: 01/07/2026

  • Minimum Age: 17.5 Years
  • Maximum Age: 21 Years
  • Eligible DOB Range: Born between 01 July 2005 to 01 July 2009 (both days inclusive).

3. Age Relaxation

  • Widows of Defence Personnel: Upper age limit relaxable up to 30 years (as on date of joining training). Women who are widowed, divorced, or legally separated are eligible subject to conditions.
  • Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Gorkhas/Tribals as per Govt rules (usually 3-5 years).

4. Physical Standards (PMT)

  • Height: Minimum 162 cms. (Relaxation of 4 cms for North East Region, Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Ladakhis, and Tribals).
  • Chest: Minimum 5 cms expansion (77-82 cms range typically).

Selection Process & Exam Structure

The selection involves two major phases:

Phase I: Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)

This is a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted tentatively between 01/06/2026 to 15/06/2026.

Crucial Exam Rules

  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark (0.33 marks) will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Phase II: Recruitment Rally

Shortlisted candidates from CEE will be called for a Rally at designated venues. The rally includes:

      • Group II: 7 Min 46 Sec to 8 Min 30 Sec (Good)
