Skills / Eligibility
IUCAA invites applications from highly motivated researchers for its Post-Doctoral Position in the field of spectral and timing properties of high energy emission from X-ray binaries and/or Active Galactic Nuclei at IUCAA. 1. Position: Post-Doctoral Position 2. Qualification: The candidate should have experience in analyzing and interpreting spectral and timing data from AstroSat and other observatories. Knowledge of scripting, creating high level data analysis tools and theoretical computation will be preferred. The postdoc would also be expected to help and teach Ph.D students.

4. Once the referees have uploaded their confidential reports an email acknowledgement is sent to them with a copy to you.
5. Last date for receipt of applications is May 07, 2022. Please avoid last minute rush and submit your online application well before the last date.
6. The last date for submitting referees reports is May 14, 2022. Please ensure that your referees get adequate time to submit their confidential assessment reports.

The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) is an autonomous institution set up by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to promote the nucleation and growth of active groups in astronomy and astrophysics at Indian universities. IUCAA aims to be a centre of excellence within the university sector for teaching, research and development in astronomy and astrophysics.
IUCAA’s activities fall under two broad programmes: core academic programmes and visitor academic programmes. Core academic programmes include basic research, the PhD programme, advanced research workshops and schools, the giant metre-wave radio telescope and guest observer programmes. Visitor academic programmes include the visitor and associates programme, refresher courses for teachers and helping the nucleation and growth of astronomy and astrophysics at Indian universities.
