Software Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time

Number of Vacancy: 01 Posts

Educational Qualification: First-Class Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Computer Science, IT or related fields)/ Master's in Physics, Computer Applications, Electronics, or Mathematics.

Experience: 03 years of experience in design, development, testing and operation of space instruments for scientific
applications.

Skills: Proficiency in programming with Python and C/C++ is required for this project. Familiarity with other highlevel programming languages like Interactive Data Language (IDL) with Java, web development tools like PHP, Databases and management tools, will be preferred.

Pay Scale:
INR
35400-112400/- Per Month

Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years.

The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) is an autonomous institution set up by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to promote the nucleation and growth of active groups in astronomy and astrophysics at Indian universities. IUCAA aims to be a centre of excellence within the university sector for teaching, research and development in astronomy and astrophysics.

IUCAA’s activities fall under two broad programmes: core academic programmes and visitor academic programmes. Core academic programmes include basic research, the PhD programme, advanced research workshops and schools, the giant metre-wave radio telescope and guest observer programmes.
