Kerala University has announced the recruitment of Guest Lecturers for the Department of Islamic and West Asian Studies. Candidates with a Master's Degree in relevant fields are eligible to apply. The online application process closes on 15th February 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Eligibility for Guest Lecturers

• Essential Qualification: Master's Degree in West Asian Studies / Islamic History / Sociology / Political Science and International Relations with specialization in West Asian Studies.
• Experience: The eligibility criteria for inclusion in the panel are as prescribed by the UGC for the appointment of Assistant Professors. In the case of Post-Graduation marks and age, there will be relaxation for the reserved category candidates as per rules.
• Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates having: Expertise in trade and economy, with special focus on energy sources in the Gulf region. Expertise in International Politics / IR theory, with special focus on West Asian Studies. Proficiency in English language.

• Candidates with a Master's Degree from Universities other than the University of Kerala must produce an Eligibility Certificate issued by the University of Kerala at the time of the interview.
