Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invitcd for the post of Project Associate I on the DST-SERB sponsored research project entitled "Deciphering the evolution and essential oil biosynthesis in the halophyte Pandanus odorfier through whole genome analysis" (CRG/2021/005730) for 3 years (December 2021-December 2024) under the supervision of Prof. A. B. Nadaf and Dr. V. T. Barvkar to be implemented at Department of Botany, Savitribai Phule University, Pune-411 007. The post is purcly temporary and is co-terminus with the project.

1. Name of the Post : Project Associate I

2. Number of Post : 1

3. Eligibility: M.Sc. Botany qualified with CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE with specialization in Advanced Plant Genetics and Breeding/Plant Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Life Sciences with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA

4. Desirable: Preference will be given to the highly motivated candidate having good academic record with research experience in the techniques related to plant genome assembly and analysis, bioinformatics and biotechnology.

5.Fellowship: Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month for the candidates who are selected through National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship or GATE or any other cquivalent national level examinations qualified candidate. For others Rs. 25,000 plus HRA per month.

Pay Scale: INR 25000 - 31000(Per Month)

Age Limit: As Per Rules

Selection Procedure

The short-listed candidates will be called for interview in online/offline mode. No TA/DA/accommodation or any allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
