Educational Qualification:
Joint Director (Crops Development Directorate): Candidates Should have Master's Degree in Agricultural Economics / Agricultural Extension / Agronomy / Entomology / Nematology / Genetics & Plant Breeding / Agriculture Botany / Plant Biotechnology / Plant Pathology / Plant Physiology / Seed Science & Technology / Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry from a recognised university OR Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering.

Medical Officer / Research Officer (Siddha): Candidates Should have Degree in Siddha from a recognised university/statutory state board/faculty of Indian Medicine recognised under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 AND enrolment on Central or State Register of Indian Medicine.

Aeronautical Officer: Candidates Should have Degree in Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering from a recognised university.

Legal Officer (DGCA): Candidates Should have Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university.

Company Prosecutor: Candidates Should have Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university.

Specialist Grade III (Medical Posts – Ministry of Health): Candidates Should have MBBS + Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in relevant speciality from a recognised institution + Registration with MCI/NMC.

Drug Inspector: Candidates Should have Degree in Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences OR Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognised university.

Assistant Engineer (Civil) – UT Ladakh: Candidates Should have Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.

Experience:
Joint Director – 3 years relevant experience
Medical Officer / Research Officer (Siddha) – No experience specified
Aeronautical Officer – 2 years experience
Legal Officer / Company Prosecutor – As per notification
Specialist Grade III – Relevant post-qualification medical experience
Drug Inspector – As per Drugs & Cosmetics Act requirements
Assistant Engineer (Civil) – As per notification.

INR

Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.

Application Fee: Candidates (Except Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using internet banking facility of any Bank.

Selection Procedure:
Online Application Submission: Submit application at upsconline.nic.in by 17 July 2026.
Shortlisting: UPSC shortlists candidates on the basis of information provided in the online application. Incorrect information may lead to rejection through computer-based shortlisting.
Recruitment Test (RT) / Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) – if applicable: For posts where the number of applications is large, UPSC may conduct an RT or CRT before the interview. The test is ordinarily conducted at the following centres: Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Ranchi, and Visakhapatnam.
Personality Test / Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for interview. Candidates must bring the printout of their online application and all original/self-attested copies of supporting documents.
Final Selection and Appointment: Appointment orders are issued by the respective Ministry/Department. UPSC may grant higher initial pay to candidates adjudged meritorious at the interview stage.
