Online Applications are invited from Eligible Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the following posts of Assistant Engineer (Trainee) under E&M cadre against category-wise vacancies for Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) as detailed below. Application received through any other modes is not acceptable.

3. Pay Scale :As per 7th Pay commission:- {Pay Matrix Level-10; Rs. 59500 (minimum level in revised pay matrix)}. Dearness and other allowances admissible as per rules of UPPCL.
4. Essential Qualification:
(i) Candidates should have sufficient knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Lipi.
(ii) Electrical Engineering Category: A degree in Electrical / Power Engineering or a mixed discipline (4TH)degree combined with Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering.
(iii) Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering Category: A degree in Electronics Engineering or Communication Engineering or Tele-communication Engineering or Mixed Discipline (VH) degree combined with either Electronics Engineering or Communication Engineering or Tele-communication Engineering.
(iv) Computer Science Engineering Category: A degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology or a mixed discipline (VH) degree combined with either Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology.
5. Training: The selected candidate has to undergo a training programme, for a period as decided by UPPCL. On successful completion of the training, the candidate shall be considered for absorption as per existing rules of UPPCL.

1. Selection Process will be based on Computer Based Test and Personal Interview. Computer Based Test(CBT) will be held at major cities of Uttar Pradesh .i.e. Allahabad, Aligarh, Varanasi, Agra, Kanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Jhansi, Muzaffarnagar, Greater Noida cities etc.. Electricity Service Commission; however has the right to cancel any of the Examination City/ Center and/or add some other cities/centers depending upon the nos. of candidates, administrative feasibility, or any force-majeure conditions etc.
2. 75% questions shall be from the Bachelor of Engineering level, 10% questions of General Knowledge/Awareness, 10% questions of Reasoning/aptitude and 5% questions of General Hindi. Each question will carry one (01) mark. Each wrong answer shall carry negative marks of 25% (i.e. 0.25 marks). If the number of applicant candidates are more, and the exam is conducted in more than one shift/ days, the normalization formula given in Annexure-I will be used to prepare merit of shortlist/select list.
3. Candidates, who obtain less than 30 % marks in CBT, will not be eligible for further stage of selection for Interview. Maximum numbers of candidates to be shortlisted for interview will be equal to 2 times the number of category-wise vacancies. Candidates having equal marks as that of last shortlisted candidate will also be called for interview. If a candidate is shortlisted for interview, then appearing in interview is compulsory, failing which his/her candidature will be treated as cancelled. The place, date and time of Interview will be intimated by ESC separately. The SELECT list shall be prepared on the basis of the combined marks obtained in the CBT and Interview.

2. Submission Of documents : concerned and relevant original documents viz Caste certificate( OBC-NCL candidates must submit their caste certificate issued after 31-03-2021), domicile certificates (issued after 31-03-2018), date of birth certificate, essential Technical qualification certificate/ final marks sheet, Apprentice certificate, PH certificate, DFF certificate (issued by the District Magistrate) shall have to be submitted for verification alongwith a self attested copy of each document on the place, date and time to be decided by ESC.Failing to produce these qualifying documents in person at the time of checking in original will result in conditional rejection of the candidature.
